ASAE’s Association Governance Institute offers a CEO Assessment tool designed to enhance the performance of association chief executives through structured evaluations. Key features include:​

  • Comprehensive Evaluation: Assesses CEOs in four key areas: annual performance goals, core competencies, leadership qualities, and notable accomplishments and challenges.
  • Customization: Allows boards to add up to 10 specific performance goals, tailoring the assessment to the organization’s unique objectives.
  • Mutual Feedback: Facilitates input from both board members and the CEO, promoting transparency and aligning expectations.
